It’s time for me to say goodbye and reflect on my experiences during this Capstone project. This journey taught me how much immigrants contribute to the community and how support programs can help individuals and strengthen society. One of the best parts of this project was meeting many different people, each with their own stories and backgrounds. These connections are ones I will cherish forever. Being at the Siena Learning Center (SLC) felt like being at home; the friendly environment and kindness of everyone made it more special. I met many people who, even though they were not family, gave me valuable advice and encouraged me to chase my dreams. Their support helped me feel like I belonged. I realized how connected we all are; sometimes I met customers at my job who I had helped with translation. I met the same customers at SLC who were taking English courses. Even if I didn't remember their faces, they often recognized me and thanked me, recalling how I helped them with English. This filled me with happiness, knowing my efforts made a positive impact. This project pushed me to step outside my comfort zone, which helped me grow personally. I learned that seeking knowledge and making progress is important for my development. Looking back on this experience, I appreciate the insights I gained and how I have changed as a person. This journey has helped shape my identity, and I look forward to using these experiences in future endeavors. I am committed to giving back to the community that has supported my family over the years. Growing up, I saw how this organization helped my parents by providing resources like free education, which changed our lives. Which is why I chose this organization for my project. This experience shows how kindness and dedication can lead to positive outcomes. To honor those who supported us, I want to use my skills to help the community.
